1. What must be on the survey quote

For a household or office move into or out of a gated society in India, four items have to be written on the Rehousing Packers & Movers quotation — not left as a WhatsApp “we will manage”:

NOC / gate pass — whether the resident has (or will have) the RWA shifting NOC, and any date the society printed on it.
Service-lift booking — which lift, which hours, and whether the society charges a lift deposit separately.
Loading-bay / visitor-parking slot — where the vehicle may stand, and for how long.
Gate-stop — security check-in, vehicle registration, and the latest hour the truck must leave.

RWA fees are society-side. They are not the REHOUSING PACKERS PVT LTD moving charge, and we do not pay them on your behalf. If the society quotes a deposit or a per-hour bay charge, the surveyor records it on the quote so the total cost is visible — that line is still payable to the society, not to us.

2. Worked example: Gurgaon HQ (Greens Sector 74A / DLF)

This is a worked example from our registered office city, not a factory of 24 city RWA pages. Other Indian societies are surveyed on their own rules. We will not copy a DLF timetable onto a Bangalore or Hyderabad tower.

3. How Indian RWAs usually gate a household move

This section is market practice, not a by-law we wrote. Most gated apartment associations in India run some mix of the following. Your society’s secretary / facility desk is the authority; we write what they actually require.

4. What the resident should collect before survey

Bring these to the survey (or send photos to the surveyor) so the quotation is not a guess:

RWA / society shifting circular or the last NOC template (PDF or photo).
Allowed loading hours and any weekend / public-holiday ban.
Basement or podium height, if the society prints a vehicle cap (Gurgaon HQ example: about 10 ft at several Greens / DLF / Golf Course condominiums).
Whether a service lift is mandatory, and the booking desk phone.
Any society-side fee or refundable deposit — rupee figure if they have already quoted it.

If the society has not issued the NOC yet, say so. We can still survey and quote, with the NOC marked pending. We will not dispatch a goods vehicle into a gated campus on a verbal assurance from a guard.

Do not wait until loading morning to discover a 10 ft ramp or a 2 PM cutoff. That is how a quoted local move turns into a wait-charge argument. Write it on the quote.

5. Society-side fees vs the moving charge

Two purses. Mixing them is how “all-inclusive” doorstep quotes go wrong.

6. Put the RWA file on /get-quote

On /get-quote (or a phone survey on +91 87005 74566) tell us origin and destination society names, NOC status, lift hours, bay slot and any vehicle-height cap. For Gurgaon Sector 74A / DLF / Golf Course moves, mention the 10 ft question explicitly so the surveyor checks basement clearance.

The written quotation (7-day validity, GST 18% extra) is the only place those constraints are “agreed.” A crew chat is not the quote.
